KELLY INSKIP​  Owner/Director  R.A.D., B.A.L, Cecchetti, B.B.O

From Sydney, Australia, Kelly grew up completing multiple syllabus dance exams each year and winning many  titles. Her training also included singing, piano and drama. At age 15, Kelly landed her first professional show which lead to work in television specials, variety shows and professional sporting events.  Throughout  Australia and Asia, her musical theatre credits include 42nd Street, My Fair Lady, Samba Sexy Samba, My Boyfriend's Back and I'll Take Manhattan.  Also in Australia, Kelly was cast in the MO award winning show Ladies, Laughs and Larrikins, as a dancer on the weekly television show Fox Sports Central Live and cheerleader for the winning season of a pro NRL football team. Credits as a dancer and actress include national commercials, television and films throughout Australia, the US, Sweden and Puerto Rico.

Moving to London, Kelly studied at Danceworks, performed in England and Europe with  Zoots & Spangles Authentic Jazz Company, Thomson UK, the world renown  Spirit of the Dance and was the resident jazz choreographer at West London Theatre Arts.  Kelly worked all over the world for Princess Cruises as dance captain, before working in Italy as choreographer and director for Costa Cruises. 

In LA, she worked in the commercial dance and television industry under some of the dance industries finest choreographers and with artists; Mariah Carey, The Pussycat Dolls,  Justin Timberlake, Huey Lewis, Human Nature, Vanilla Ice, Rob Bass, The Beach Boys, C & C Music Factory and The Village People.  Kelly's LA and Las Vegas credits include  Stomp Out Loud,  The Queen Bees, Schtick, Nathan Burton Comedy Magic, World’s Greatest Magic Show, Country To The Bone and Broadway Under the Stars.

Her choreography and many teaching credits are worldwide and award winning in Australia, England and the US. Her students have gone on to New York's Joffrey Ballet School, the Radio City Rockettes, cruise ship productions, musical theatre and Disney resorts. Kelly continues to work as a judge and instructor for various national US dance conventions including Dance Educators of America, Midwest Starz, Legacy Dance and Starbound.   www.kellyinskip.com

 

​TRAVIS ONELLION​​  Owner/Director

Travis started his dance training at the age of 7 in Louisiana, competing nationally in multiple award and title winning performances. As a student of dance, Travis studied and performed with the Lafayette Ballet Theater, The Edge Performing Arts Studio (LA) and Broadway Dance Theater (NYC). Travis has had the great fortune of being trained under some high profiled professionals such as Gus Giordano, Mia Michaels, Brian Friedman, Debbie Allen and Henry LaTang.

In 2001, Travis began his professional career performing onboard cruise ships for Costa and Princess Cruise Lines. He was lucky enough to see the world while performing in world class production shows.

Moving to LA, his work included theme parks, music videos, touring shows and variety events. Travis also spent much time rehearsing as part of the resident skeleton cast premiering shows for Crystal Cruise Lines. He has worked for such artists as Britney Spears, Omarion, The Temptations, Akina Nakamori, Sarah Brightman, The Four Tops, Kenny G,  Jordan Sparks and Earth, Wind & Fire.

Moving to Las Vegas, Travis began performing in 'Masquerade Show in the Sky' at the Rio Hotel. His corporate work has included such companies as MGM Grand, Hyundai, IFC, Remax, Studio 54, Sky Vodka, Intel, Passion Parties, Pure, AWG, Mandalay Bay and NEC.

His knowledge and years of experience in the entertainment industry lead to the formation of 213 Productions which is a production company he co-owns with his wife supplying dancers, costuming and choreography for shows and events.

As an instructor, Travis has worked in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and taught workshops in Australia along side his wife. His choreography has won awards nationally for LA and Las Vegas based dance studios.

MATTHEW GUERRERO

Matt Guerrero was born in San Francisco and raised in a little town just east of SF called Benicia.  He started dancing with his older brother and his brother's best friend for family events and other social gatherings around town.  Mostly 90's New Jack style of dance.  He didn't get into the Hip Hop Culture until he was 14 years old, there he discovered one of the 4 elements of Hip Hop, and that was B-Boying. He stuck to that style for quite some time, learning whatever he could learn, but when he graduated high school and moved on to College, he wanted to learn more about dance movement. When he was in college he took numerous dance classes, from Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Latin Dance, and Ballroom Dance.

Matt later joined a professional Hip Hop Dance Company called "SoulForce", directed by SF Hip Hop Dancefest Director and Producer Micaya.  At that same time he formed his own crew called "Khaotic GroovemintZ (KGZ)".  With being in SoulForce and directing KGZ, he began doing shows all over the Bay Area with both groups and started to gain a little recognition in the Bay Area Dance Culture.
After 24 years, Matt moved to Las Vegas to further Pursue Dance Career.

He currently dances with Cirque Du Soleil at The Beatles LOVE Show inside the Mirage Hotel and Casino.

WHITNEY SZABO

Whitney Szabo is from Cleveland, Ohio where she spent her childhood dancing and competing at her local dance studio. 

​

Pursuing dance further, she received her Bachelor in Fine Arts from The University of Akron. 

While in school she spent her summers dancing in “Luminosity” a production show at Cedar Point.  

After school, dancing for RWS on Holland America line, she was the dance captain for two contracts and was also a part of Dancing with the Stars at Sea.

Moving to Vegas she has been a part of a magic show on the Las Vegas strip and other production shows. Whitney loves teaching and working with kids and sharing her knowledge with the dance community.

RACHAEL THOMPSON  Vaganova, Horton, Graham

Rachael Thompson holds a BFA in Dance Education from the University of the Arts. She has trained in ballet, tap, jazz, and modern at The Dance Theatre of Lynchburg and attended the Rockette Summer Intensive.  Her teaching experience includes Uarts Academic Support, Nebinger Elemetary School, and The Philadelphia School for Creative and Performing Arts.

She has danced in the Philadelphia Fringe Festival and performed works by Anna Sokolow, Curt Haworth, Donald Lunsford, and Keith Lee.  Most recently she performed and managed the dancers at Boogie Nights at the Tropicana in Atlantic City.  

​

Ms. Thompson is also a certified GYROKINESIS® trainer.  She looks forward to her new adventures in Vegas and getting to know everyone at The Base Dance Center.  

BIANCA CATTAPAN

Bianca Cattapan was born in Neustadt an der Weinstraβe, Germany and later moved to Columbus, Ohio where she received her formal dance training and danced competitively.

 

She began her professional dance career in high school performing on television and on film. Cattapan graduated from Point Park University in Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance with a concentration in Jazz. She has been privileged to work on stage in Point Park University’s Conservatory Dance Company with artists including Rennie Harris, Raphael Xavier and Heather Carpenter.

 

Since graduation, Cattapan resides in Las Vegas, Nevada where she has worked with artists including DNCE, Rod Stewart, Criss Angel and Belinda Pop. She has also performed in multiple shows choreographed by well established dancer Missy Cochran, choreographed and performed in the Ribbon Of Life Reimagined Golden Rainbow and dances in Tony Coppola’s Coppola Rhythm Ensemble. While Cattapan continues to dance professionally here in Las Vegas, she also loves sharing her knowledge through teaching and choreography.

STELLY RODRIGUEZ

STELLY RODRIGUEZ VEGA began her training at the National School of Art in Cuba where she trained in Classic Ballet under the tutelage of renowned dancer Alicia Alonso. 

 

Stelly danced with the National Ballet of Cuba, directed by the Prima ballerina Alicia Alonso, and she also participated in numerous tours through Latin America and Europe, including dancing as a Principal for the Ballet company “Rey de Viana” in Spain. 

 

In 2006 Stelly arrived in Las Vegas to be part of the Latin production Havana Nights, and later she took a principal role in the American tours of Cirque du Soleil’s Cirque Dreams and Cirque Éloize in Canada. 

 

In 2012 Stelly became a dancer and assistant choreographer and Casting Director for Cirque du Soleil under Giulio Scatola, working for him in several projects in Europe and Las Vegas (Gotta Dance and A tribute to Life!) 

 

In 2017 Stelly was cast to perform with International singer Robin Thicke during his life Concert tour in Philippines. She also was a dancer in the Emmy Award winning BENISE “Fuego!” - Spirit of Spain. 

JAFFAR SMITH

Jaffar Smith is originally from Washington State. He started dancing at a young age studying Tap, Jazz and Gymnastics. After high school, he moved to Las Vegas, NV and began his hip hop training with Culture Shock Las Vegas under the direction of Tabitha and Napoleon Dumo. After leaving Las Vegas, he moved to San Diego where he contributed to the success of Urban FX. Soon after, Jaffar relocated to Los Angeles to pursue the commercial dance industry where he has danced with artists such as:  Usher, Justin Bieber Brandy, Ashanti, JoJo, Mariah Carey, Omarion and has toured with such artists as Mila J, Solange, MC Hammer, and The Cheetah Girls to name a few. 

 

Beyond his dance credits, Jaffar is a motivating and inspiring instructor. Jaffar’s talent expands to his choreography which is extremely clever in its musicality and movement. He has choreographed for numerous professional hip hop dance companies here and abroad. Movement Lifestyle, Debbie Reynolds, Millennium (LA/LV), Kinjaz Dojo, Broadway Dance Academy, The EDGE and Debbie Allen’s Dance Academy are just a few of the many studios he’s been a regular instructor.  

 

His personality, style and personal flare make his choreography and class a treat to both take and watch. His energy and focus on “Having fun while pushing yourself” brings new life to class and will have you “Moving faster than you think you can!”  

LUCINDA (L.JAY) LUEVANOS

Lucinda (L.Jay) Luevanos has been dancing since she was four, and started her training with the Ballet Folklorico Mexicano Company.  She is trained in the techniques of  hip hop, contemporary, ballet,  jazz, lyrical, improv, ballet folklorico, and modern.  She has a B.F.A. in Dance Performance & Choreography from the University of Nevada Las Vegas as well as graduated with UNLV Department of Dance's "Outstanding Performer Award". She has experience training, teaching, choreographing, and performing all throughout Las Vegas, as well as  experience performing in Indianapolis, New York, and South Korea.  Her choreographic works have not only been premiered in four UNLV Dance Concerts, but also in concerts for dance studios and companies throughout Las Vegas. Her love for videography is shown through the visual choreographic art projects that she has choreographed, released, and has also been featured in. Her choreography draws inspiration from mixing the genres of contemporary, modern, and hip-hop.

ERINN WASIAK

Erinn Wasiak was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she started dancing when she was only 3 years old. From age 6 until she started her professional career, Erinn spent most of her childhood training under Kelly and Travis at The Base Dance Center. She was part of The Base Company and competed in styles including hip hop, jazz, tap, and contemporary. Erinn graduated from Las Vegas Academy of the Arts as a dance major.

Erinn started her professional career performing for different production companies in Las Vegas, performing at MGM grand, T-mobile Arena, and on local news channels. She later took her dance career to California, where she performed for both the Walt Disney Company and NBC Universal. Erinn was the dance captain for many high energy parades, at Disneyland Resort and later got the privilege of being on the creative team for a new day time parade, Magic Happens.

Erinn loves to choreograph and has been teaching dance since she graduated from high school. Coming back to her hometown, Erinn wants to share all her experience she received after performing in Anaheim and LA the past four years.

ALAINA GRAVES

Alaina grew up in Austin, Texas where she trained and competed in jazz, ballet, contemporary, hip hop, musical theater and tap.

​

Alaina currently attends the Theater Arts Preparatory School under the direction of Don Mirualt in Las Vegas.

ROSE CRISOSTOMO

Rose Crisostomo has been continually training in all styles of dance since the age of 3.  She has been a student of The Base since the day we opened in 2012.

As an original member of The Base Company, Rose performed for the Harlem Globetrotters, Dancescape LA,  The Nevada Blind Society, Town Square’s Holiday Festivities and Lifetime’s ‘Dance Moms’.

Rose has won many regional and national dance titles throughout the years.  In 2015, she was crowned Miss Dance Educators of America at their Las Vegas Nationals.  Rose has also had the opportunity to assist Kelly Inskip at dance conventions. 

Along with being our first graduate of The Base, Rose also graduated from the Las Vegas Academy of the Perfoming Arts where she studied dance for 4 years.

We are thrilled to have our very own Rose Crisostomo continue to share her knowledge with our young dancers.
