Payment Policies

  • Tuition is due on the 20th day of each month, for the upcoming month.
  • We have a 10 day grace period, then all payments received after the 1st of the month will be considered late and a $20.00 late fee will be incurred.
  • If monthly fees are not paid by the 1st of the month, students will not be able to participate in any class until their tuition is up to date.
  • Any check returned by the bank will incur a $25.00 fee.
  • The Base Dance Center accepts cash, check, debit and credit card payments. Signing up for autopay through your online parent portal is our preferred method of payment.
  • No tuition adjustments or credits are given for missed classes.
  • Tuition fees, including annual registration fees, are non-refundable or transferable.
  • Tuition fees are monthly based ( not weekly ), regardless of how many weeks per month.  Some months may have 5 weeks, others less if holidays.
  • All group classes, private lessons and Company classes must be paid in full prior to the class.
Parent Responsibility
  • Parents are not permitted in the studio during class, unless invited by the instructor.  Feel free to watch any class through our observation windows.
  • Do not talk to or distract your dancer through the window while they are in class.

  • Please be positive and avoid gossiping.
  • Respect all students, parents and instructors at The Base.
  • If you arrive 15 minutes late, the instructor will have your dancer sit out for safety reasons and injury prevention.  In this case you may schedule a make up class.
  • Make sure siblings are supervised when waiting in the lobby.
  • To protect the privacy of our students and the work of our instructors, filming or taking photos during class must be approved by the instructor.
  • Check out our YouTube channel, Instagram or Facebook page, for videos taken during class.  Feel free to share these.

Dropping A Class

  • Once enrolled, students are expected to complete the dance year.  If you need to drop a class, please see the front desk at least 2 weeks prior to dropping a class to fill out a Withdrawal Form.
  • Alternatively, you may request that your enrollment be put "on hold" for up to 2 months, in which case a $25.00 fee per month will be charged to hold the student's place in class.  This option is subject to availability.

Make Up Class

  • If you are absent from a registered class, you may take a make up class within 2 weeks of your missed class, providing your monthly fees are paid up to date.
  • Make up classes are limited to 1 per month, per registered class.
  • Your make up class can be in any style.  See the front desk about scheduling your make up class.
  • Make up classes are subject to class availability.

Class Etiquette

  • No food or gum allowed in the studios at any time.
